It has not rained in a few days and is supposed to get hot today, so i used the rain water i collected to water the mushroom beds at the water authorities.

About

James Magee has embarked on a project to build community gardens on public lands, aiming to foster sustainability and community engagement. He is planting berry bushes and mushrooms to help beautify public space in his neighborhood. The first site, set to become a mushroom bed, is located on Meadville Water Authorities’ public access land. The second site, where invasive vines were recently removed, now hosts 900 gallons of winecap mushroom spawn made from diverted waste wood. Plans are in place to add a thin layer of compost and grow turnips there this fall. This initiative reflects James' and Vrbs' commitment to helping people and the planet, frequently working on public lots to enhance green spaces through gardening.
